2026 Airshow FAQs

No tickets or parking passes will be required for the 2026 Charleston Airshow in its new format. This event is open to all members of the public and can be viewed from any public space in Downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant.

All those who purchased premium seating for the airshow in its original format will be receiving full refunds. Our team will reach out with more information on this process in the coming weeks.

The 2026 Charleston Airshow will occur from 1 PM to 3 PM (EST) on May 2nd. We encourage attendees to arrive early to secure their viewing location ahead of the event.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the 2026 Charleston Airshow which takes place from 1 PM to 3 PM on May 2nd.

The Blue Angels will be joined by the F-16 Demonstration team from Shaw Air Force base with a P-51 Mustang Heritage flight; a C-17 Demonstration team from Joint Base Charleston in formation with a C-47 and a C-54; well as a demonstration from the U.S. Coast Guard.

With the 2026 Charleston Airshow transitioning to a one-day harbor-front event, Joint Base Charleston will not be hosting a Family/STEM day on May 1st. Our team is passionate about this opportunity to share airpower with the next generation of leaders and are looking to reschedule the event for next school year. The harbor-front airshow will take place over the Charleston Harbor, South of the Cooper River Bridge between downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant. This event is open to all members of the public and can be viewed from any public space in Downtown Charleston and Mount Pleasant. Yes. The U.S. Coast Guard and Charleston and Mount Pleasant Police Departments are coordinating to determine safe viewing zones on the harbor for those hoping to experience the show from the water. A map will be made available once these zones have been designated.

Joint Base Charleston is working in close coordination with law enforcement offices in Charleston and Mount Pleasant to limit traffic impacts on the day of the event. For specific information on road closures, traffic patterns, and bridge impacts, continue to monitor the cities’ official communication channels.
